Our 2022 Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre (GSM) blend is a captivating expression of the North Coast, carefully crafted from three exceptional vineyards—Jemrose Vineyard in Bennett Valley, Bennett Bench Vineyard, and Wild Diamond Vineyard in Lake County. This wine offers a harmonious balance, with the 45% Grenache from Jemrose bringing bright, candied fruit flavors, the 30% Syrah from Bennett Bench contributing spicy complexity, and the 25% Mourvèdre adding earthy depth and power. The cooler climates of these vineyards result in a more restrained GSM, with a lower alcohol content (13.8%) that allows the wine’s nuance to shine. Aged in about 1/3 new oak and with 30% whole cluster fermentation, this limited-production wine (250 cases) is a refined, Southern Rhône-inspired blend that pairs beautifully with rich dishes like pulled pork, brisket, or braised meats.

Tasting Notes: Our GSM is reminiscent of Southern Rhone blends from Chateauneuf-du-pape. It begins with flavors of dusty strawberry, and candied cherry and builds toward Chambord (Raspberry Liquor), with earthy notes from the Syrah and Mourvèdre. It’s supported by subtle tannin that builds in the mid-palate and supports the weight of the Syrah and Mourvèdre on the finish.250 Cases Produced
