Located just southwest of Petaluma, in the cool and fog-kissed triangle that dips into Marin County, this organically farmed vineyard is one of the coldest sites we work with. The challenging, yet rewarding conditions—characterized by coastal winds, fog, and temperature shifts—allow the grapes to mature slowly, achieving perfect acidity and depth. Azaya Ranch Pinot Noir showcases a beautiful balance of floral and herbal notes, with a subtle hint of sage, and boasts a complexity from three distinct clones: 115, 667, and 2A. Aged for 9 months in a mix of new, once-filled, and neutral oak barrels, this wine delivers layers of rich flavor and a bold structure, thanks to its rocky, clay-loam soils and the ever-present winds. With only 160 cases produced, this is a limited-edition wine that will transport you straight to the cool, breezy slopes of the Petaluma Gap.
